How to Plan for Summer bar-b-cues
When one mentions barbeques, mouthwatering meat is the first thing in mind. Every body anticipates the outdoor activities with friends.
With summer season around the corner, summer barbeque is surely a much awaited family activity. It has become a tradition to spend light moments with people close to us. Barbeque session is an informal activity. Hence, your guests can join the group in t-shirt, shorts and slippers. Of course, table is placed in the backyard. The size of your table should commensurate to the number of attendees you have. And the size of the platter should correspond to the number of visitors as well.
On certain occasion, barbeques has extended activities.
This could add some fun to your summer barbeque. Extended activities vary from badminton, ring toss, softball and volleyball. However, these activities will vary on the size of your backyard. And of course, the number of visitors you have.
You can enjoy a variety of foods to grill like burger patties, hotdogs, grilled meat and grilled chicken. As we enjoy a delicious grilled meat, let us not forget that barbeque does not necessarily limit to meat. In fact, we can also cook grilled vegetables. Hence, we can not discount the importance of healthy food even in times of festive moments with our friends and dear ones.
It is better if you could pre-plan the menu of your summer barbeque. Again, the considerations that you have to think of are the number of guests coming. Make sure your menu consist of your appetizer, your main menu and your dessert. A dessert could be salad or sweets.
For your appetizer, you may serve chips or fresh salsa. Make sure your appetizer can cover the number of your guests. Foremost, make sure they do not become so full that they can not accommodate the main menu anymore.
Your main menu says everything about your barbecue gathering. And this is where you will put the bulk of your food. It could be a burger, hotdog or ribs. It is better to know the preference of your visitors so you could have the idea on what to serve. Then, the last batch of the food should be light. It could be a salad or a fruit.
Now, how do you cook your menu? The two common ways to barbeque is through gas and charcoal. Both have the same results. The only difference is that it is faster to cook in gas rather than in charcoal. Gas grill does not occupy too much space so you could place it anywhere in your backyard. Foremost, gas is much safer as compared to charcoal grill. It is also easier to use. And there are no hassles when cleaning your gas grill.
However, cooking through charcoal is cheaper as compared to gas. It occupies a fair amount of space so it perfectly fits outdoor cooking. The barbeque grills available in the market comes in different sizes and designs. Each designed to make your barbeque cooking experience as easy as possible.
Barbecue is one of the best social activities a family could have. It is simple, light, fun and everything you can think of from an informal gathering.
