Fun Summer Activities that Will Help Beat Boredom!
School is out and the kids are at home. We have discussed some fabulous children’s party themes like a bug hunt or a t-shirt decorating celebration, and those ideas and many others are sure to make your fabulous summer kids’ parities a huge hit. What do you have planned for your kids between their fun parties? You are certainly not the only parent or caregiver that is scrambling to come up with exciting children’s activities for summer vacation. Let these ideas inspire you to get creative.
Every parent dreads hearing “I’m bored!” from one of their children after just days of summer vacation. There are so many fun activities that you can incorporate in to a regular afternoon alone with your kids, a party or a play date this summer that will help keep boredom at bay.
Arts and crafts projects are among some of the best activities for kids. Grab some plain white shirts and a tie-dye kit available at most arts and crafts stores and get ready to create masterpieces that your kids can wear all summer long! If you have little girls you can cut the sleeves off of a regular white tee and gather them at the top with vibrant ribbon for a fun spin on an average shirt!
Have you ever heard of a sprayground? Spraygrounds are popping up all over the place and are the popular choices of parents and children. Parents love them because they are zero depth water attractions which reduce the risk of drowning. Kids love cooling down and getting sprayed by cool water while running around with their pals. If you do not have a sprayground in your neighborhood create one in your back yard! A few sprinklers and blow up pools is the perfect way to keep your kids busy!
There are bound to be too hot to handle days or the occasional rainy day mixed in this summer so you will need to have an arsenal of indoor activities that will keep your kids happy! Trips to local museums and aquariums are guaranteed ways to keep your kids entertained. If you prefer sticking close to home turn your living room in to a movie theater! Rent the latest popular children’s movie and pop some popcorn. Your kids and their friends will love this activity on a rainy day.
Whether you are looking for ideas for children’s activities at a party or just to pass the time, these fun summer activities will do the job. Incorporating these activities in to your child’s summer vacation is certain to make it special. You will get so much joy out of watching your kids so happy. Most of the activities are appropriate for all ages and abilities so they are perfect for siblings with large age gaps. Hopefully these ideas will inspire you to create the most exciting and eventful summer!

I think my kids would love to do tye-dye t-shirts! They aren't too expensive are they? A Sprayground sounds good too. Thank you so much! These are great ideas, im glad I stumbled onto this blog!
I can remember summer fun running through the sprinklers being my favorite thing to do when I was young and living out in the country. Now that i'm older and have a two year old son I miss doing things like that. Its amazing how much kids take after their parents. Even at 2 years old we can tell that Tyson is related us.
thats wonderful bobby don't you love memories of times past? my grandkids are here for the week and theyre running out of things to do! some of these ideas sound very nice though.
