Stress Free Wedding Planning
If you are newly engaged and just starting to plan the wedding of your dreams, then you are probably beginning to get an idea of how much work goes in to planning a beautiful ceremony and reception. The truth is wedding planning does not have to be difficult or stressful. Planning a wedding is one of the most wonderful experiences any bride can have. If you are organized and give yourself plenty of time you will be able to enjoy every step of the wedding planning process.
The most important part of planning a wedding is to know and stick to your budget. It is no secret that weddings can be extremely expensive. The gown, the flowers, photography, invitations, and the fees for the location and catering can add up quickly. Having a budget will allow you to set aside a certain amount of money for each of the wedding needs so you do not end up short on funds. Focus most of your budget on what is the most important to you and your future spouse. Find less expensive alternatives for those things that may not matter as much. Deciding on a budget before starting the process can save you a lot of time and stress along the way.
Once you have determined your budget the fun can begin. Start looking well in advance for your ceremony and reception locations. Typically, a year in advance is the perfect time to begin booking your location, photographer, caterer, wedding day transportation and even shopping for a gorgeous gown. Make sure to have your ceremony and reception locations guaranteed before making arrangements with other vendors. Most wedding vendors and locations require a small deposit that is applied to your balance to hold your date. A few months before the wedding you will be able to taste test your menu options, pick out a beautiful cake and do perhaps even do a trial- run of hair and makeup. Getting the major planning out of the way early on in the process allows you to focus on the final details!
There are so many unique ways to share the news about your upcoming wedding with friends and family. A fun and efficient way to spread the news and to give guests general information about your wedding is to create a wedding webpage. There are many wedding oriented websites that offer a free wedding webpage to couples that can easily be personalized. Another idea is to send a Save the Date card in the mail to guests so they can mark their calendars. Wedding websites and Save the Date cards do not take the place of invitations but are an excellent way to let your guests know what to expect!
Wedding planning is the first step in planning your life with your future spouse! Your hard work and effort will culminate in an absolutely gorgeous wedding day. No matter what your budget or expectations, planning a wedding can be simple and fun to do. Just remember to stick to your budget and plan ahead and you will be on your way to the perfect wedding.

I’m getting married in 3 months, and planning my wedding has been a nightmare so far! On Friday I came across this new site called EventNow.com. I thought of giving it a try. Has anybody used it yet?
I actually have used EventNow! They claim you go on the site, and it matches you with any vendor that you are looking for to plan your parties. I actually used it. It’s not bad. After 2-3 minutes of filling in the details of what I was looking for, I got matched with 3 make up artists in my area. 2 of them where matched right away, and the other one was matched about 2 hours later. I recommend checking it out because the girl who called me with a price knew what I was looking for and gave me the best price so far, which is almost 30% cheaper! I guess it makes sense because they know that I’m shopping around and they want to get the job.The site is still new and had some small issues but it delivered at the end.
